TEAR DOWNS™

TEAR DOWNS™ — Factory‑Cull Ammo for Component Recovery (Customer‑Performed)

Diamond K Brass sells factory‑cull (Tear Down) ammunition for customers who want to disassemble rounds and recover components — brass, bullets, primers, and powder — for their own reloading projects. We do not perform tear‑down services; these lots are sold “as‑is” for component recovery by the buyer.

What Is a Tear Down™?

A Tear Down (factory cull) is factory‑loaded ammunition that has been identified as surplus, cosmetically imperfect, or otherwise culled from production and sold for parts recovery. Purchasing Tear Downs lets reloaders reclaim usable components at a lower cost than buying all-new parts.

Who Buys Tear Downs™?

  • Hobbyist reloaders wanting to save on component costs

  • Range operators and clubs recovering brass for target loads

  • Commercial reloaders seeking bulk components for non‑critical applications

  • Shooters building custom loads from reclaimed parts

Product Details & Condition

  • Sold “as‑is” — lots vary by headstamp, caliber, and condition.

  • Common calibers: 9mm, .380 ACP, .40 S&W, .45 ACP, .223/5.56, and more (see product listing).

  • Typical packaging: bulk bags or boxes by count — check the specific product page for quantities and headstamp notes.

  • No processing performed: ammunition is not deprimed, trimmed, or primed; cases may require cleaning and inspection before reuse.

Important Safety & Legal Notice — READ BEFORE PURCHASING

WARNING: THIS AMMUNITION IS SOLD “AS IS” FOR COMPONENT RECOVERY ONLY.

  • By purchasing, the buyer acknowledges the product is intended solely for disassembly and reloading components.

  • NO WARRANTIES: All implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are expressly disclaimed. This ammunition is sold without warranty, express or implied.

Best Practices for Buyers

  • Inspect all components thoroughly before reuse (check brass for cracks, split necks, and primer‑pocket integrity).

  • Deprime and clean brass before resizing and reloading.

  • Use published, reputable load data and start at minimum charges when developing loads from recovered components.

  • Store and dispose of recovered primers and powder according to local regulations.

  • If you’re unfamiliar with safe tear‑down procedures, seek training or consult experienced reloaders — do not attempt unsafe methods.
